So I did end up changing my username.  I'm now "Kira-Ani-McGrath" instead of "kira-mcgrath".  Obligatory apologies to all those who voted that I shouldn't change my name, or voted for another name option, but I like to try and make use of my "full name" when I can.  Plus "Kira-Ani-McGrath" has really grown on me over the past few days.  It also keeps the hyphenation, which I think makes for a neat reminder of my original name.  =)
Now watch, dA will announce they've come up with a way to allow people who own a secondary/alternate account to take that name for their main account.  :XD:  Would I switch ~KiraAniMcGrath for *Kira-Ani-McGrath?  No idea.  D8
